Phillip spent 2 months in China doing a work exchange. I worked remote from Shanghai for the first 2 weeks, which overlapped with his last two weeks of work, then we spent the last 2 weeks traveling. We took a 14-hour overnight train to Xi’an, home of the famous terra cotta warriors. From there, we flew to Bangkok for a week in Thailand. We spent most of the week on a small island called Koh Mak near the border of Cambodia. China was very interesting, but our time on the island was my favorite part of the trip. Our last stop was Hong Kong, a true international city.
